Hi- let me tell you I'm a full time garden writer - living on an island and building a brand new garden. This is a record of that garden building and exploring. I almost hesitate to tell you how long I've been in the nursery business (30 years give or take) but I've grown a lot of plants (killed a lot too) and there's just too many plants and too little time.

I was fortunate enough to see the Rolling Stones in concert in 1981, and they put on a terrific show! I love the fact these guys just keep on keepin' on...and as they age, the shows actually improve. I think that the farther they get from their wild youth, they become real artists, as opposed to just "rock stars". Goes to show that you don't have to be young to enjoy good, loud music! Hey, it's only rock n' roll....
