I happen to really like Polemonium and have grown every new variety as it emerges from the breeder's trials. Here's a pic of one of the latest with some other thoughts here about growing this plant.
Easy to grow in part shade in fertile soil. Tough to grow in clay.
Easily divided in the early spring.
Great ferny foliage.
What's not to like in perennial flowering plant?

Hi- let me tell you I'm a full time garden writer - living on an island and building a brand new garden. This is a record of that garden building and exploring. I almost hesitate to tell you how long I've been in the nursery business (30 years give or take) but I've grown a lot of plants (killed a lot too) and there's just too many plants and too little time.
