There's some times that you just have to smile and wave when somebody moves in next door. And then - later in the season - I'll have to have some words with them as they raid my garden. But for the moment, my gosh they're cute.

Hi- let me tell you I'm a full time garden writer - living on an island and building a brand new garden. This is a record of that garden building and exploring. I almost hesitate to tell you how long I've been in the nursery business (30 years give or take) but I've grown a lot of plants (killed a lot too) and there's just too many plants and too little time.
